Like Kaaterskill Falls, Kaaterskill Clove has been painted by many of the Hudson River School artists.  The works above by Gifford and Cole were painted from about the same vantage point.  Griffin's view is situated further east on route 23 owing to the fact that the top of Hanes Falls is now part of a gated community.
